The purpose of this seminar is to discuss the use of peer observation assignments in a poetry and short-fiction creative writing course at Dongguk University in Gyeongju. Students submitted poetry and short-fiction assignments as well as peer observations in a workshop-style class. The assignments were also posted together on a class website. Students concluded the course by submitting writing portfolios containing their drafts, revisions, final copies, and peer observations. Student responses to the peer assessment strategies are discussed in relation to how students expressed themselves and how their observations were received.
